Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, mni, the Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation extended a warm welcome to a distinguished delegation from the International Union of Universities, Turkey (IUU), led by the President of the Union and Vice-Chancellor of the International Astrolabe University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Khair Al Ghabani, during his visit to the Al-Ansar Foundation Headquarters in Abuja.
This important encounter marked the beginning of discussions aimed at fostering stronger ties between Al-Ansar University, Maiduguri and the IUU, particularly within the context of Al-Ansar University joining the prestigious International Union of Universities. The IUU is a global network of academic institutions dedicated to fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and addressing common educational challenges.
Dr. Prof. Al Ghabani conveyed his admiration for Dr. Dikwa’s visionary leadership in establishing Al-Ansar University as a beacon of hope in a region that has been bedevilled by insurgency for more than a decade. He spoke of IUU’s commitment to facilitating cross-border academic collaboration and its eagerness to explore avenues for cooperation with Al-Ansar University.
Dr. Dikwa, in response, expressed his gratitude for the visit and the invitation extended to Al-Ansar University. He acknowledged the importance of international partnerships and collaboration in advancing educational excellence and global understanding. Dr. Dikwa further expressed his commitment to exploring this opportunity and evaluating the benefits of Al-Ansar University’s potential membership in the International Union of Universities.
The meeting culminated with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Al-Ansar University and the International Astrolabe University, Turkey.
