INAUGURATION OF BOARD MEMBERS OF AL-ANSAR RADIO AND TV

THE FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT INAUGURATES THE BOARD OF AL-ANSAR RADIO AND TV STATION, MAIDUGURI, BORNO STATE.

Al-Ansar Foundation (AAF) in its efforts to fulfill its vision and mission of providing services to humanity has established a Radio and TV Station known as Al-Ansar Radio and TV. The radio station which is currently adjudged to be one of the best radio stations in the State in terms of state-of-the-art facilities, when fully operational would run on the modulation of 96.1 FM.

The Al-Ansar Radio and TV station is owned by Al-Ansar Foundation – a Humanitarian Support Organization established in 2015 to provide services to humanity through the provision of quality education; healthcare and humanitarian services to vulnerable and less-privileged children, youths and women in Nigeria especially in the North-east region of the country.

Public Financial Management Maestro and Seasoned Technocrat, Dr. M. K. Dikwa, mni, Ph.D. FCNA, ACA, FCTI on Saturday 21st, November, 2020 inaugurated the Board of Al-Ansar Radio and TV station, Al-Ansar Radio 91.6 FM in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Dr. Dikwa, while inaugurating the Board said that “the inauguration of the Board became imperative given the fact that the Al-Ansar Radio and TV is at the verge of commencing full operations as all certifications from regulatory authorities especially from the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has been secured.”

In his inaugural address, the Public Finance Management maestro used the occasion to emphasis the vision behind the establishment of the Al-Ansar Radio and TV station. According to him: “Our vision is clear and that is to amongst others things:

  1. Support the government’s efforts towards bringing lasting peace, tranquility and development to our dear state – Borno State.
  2. Build peace and harmony among the societies in our dear state in particular and the North-east region in particular by airing deliberate programmes that supports peace building;
  3. Publicize government developmental initiatives in the state;
  4. Propagate programmes that would promote diversification of the nation’s economy such as agriculture, solid minerals, tourism, hospitality etc; and
  5. Operate strictly within the confines of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC)’s ACT.”

Dr. M. K. Dikwa, mni also used the occasion to applaud the developmental strides of the current administration in Borno State. According to him: “Without missing any word, I would like to thank the Executive Governor of Borno State, His Excellency Professor Baba Gana Umara Zulum,mni for the tremendous support to the Al-Ansar Foundation since its formation.”

Similarly, he appealed to all MDAs in the state to kindly patronize the station for the publication of daily government activities. He said: “This station is yours and established specifically to support the developmental strides of the government both at the state and federal level.

Also, during the inauguration ceremony, the Founder and President, Dr. M. K. Dikwa tasked the Board Members to discharge their duties with the fear of Allah as their appointment into the governing body of the organization was purely based on merit, track records and above all, their wealth of experience, expertise and dedication to the vision and mission of the Al-Ansar Foundation. He also charged them to know that leadership position comes with enormous duties and responsibilities and they should see their appointment another opportunity to serve humanity in their various capacities

Speaking on behalf of the Board Members, the Chairman of the Board, Barrister Audu Isah Buratai expressed his delight in the President for his show of confidence in him and other members of the Board. He also thanked the President and Founder, Dr. M. K. Dikwa for given them the opportunity to serve humanity on as Board Members of the Al-Ansar Radio and TV station.

He assured the Founder and President that the board members will be selfless in carrying out their duties by adhering strictly to the policies guidelines of the Al-Ansar Foundation to enable them attain their goals.

Speaking in the same vein, Mr. Alfa Mohammed, a member of the Board also supported the Chairman’s earlier remarks by thanking the Founder and President for the opportunity to serve and assured the President of the Board’s capacity to take Al-Ansar Radio and TV Station to the next level.

The inauguration ceremony ended with a group photograph and dinner at the Founder’s residence in Abuja.
